Rajiv Ruparelia confident ahead of Jinja Rally

DAVID GOMBE

Rajiv Ruparelia set to make amends at this weekend’s Jinja Rally.

Ruparelia had shown intent on day one of the Mbarara Rally when he posted the fastest times before he dropped out from the event last month.

The new entrant cum rookie says that he is ready and eager to win the second event on the National Rally Championship calendar in Jinja

“I am very ready for the Jinja rally and my target is to go on and win the event. It’s unfortunate that i dropped out while leading the season opening event but this time the car is in proper condition and i am only focusing on victory in Jinja.” He stated.

Ruparelia and Enock Olinga will be in their new refurbished Volkswagen Polo Proto as they aim to bring an end to the unfinished business from the season opening event.

Over 40 drivers are expected to take part in the Jinja Rally due this weekend.

The Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV will grace the event.

Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru and Musa Nsubuga in Subaru GVB won the Rukaari-Lake Mburo Mbrarara Rally last month.
