Ugandan born striker Joseph Mpande Mbolimbo continued with his heroic exploits for his side Hantharwady United as they cruised 1-0 victors over Gospel For Asia football club (GFA FC) in the Myanmar top tier.
Mpande scored the lone goal of game with an exquisite strike in the fourth minute.
The former Vipers skipper was also the hero for Hantharwady United last week when he scored a late winning goal against Yadanarbon FC in a 2-1 victory.
His strike was his 5th of the season and pushes him into the third place on the scorers chats – sitting 2 goals shy of the joint top scorers Si Thu Aung of Yadanarbon FC and Edubat Patrick of Ayeyawady United.
The slim 1-0 victory temporarily propels Hantharwady United to the second place on 18 points garnered from 10 matches played.
Mpande and his teammates will return to action on Saturday 28th March when they visit 9th placed Ayeyawady United at Pathien Stadium.
