Creative midfielder Sentongo Farouk is on the verge of joining 6 time champions Express FC from last season’s relegated Lweza FC.

Sentongo who joined Lweza in 2015 from Lugazi based side Nabugabo FC, had a brief stint with Kenyan giants Gor Mahia FC in 2014 following a tremendous performance in the East African Secondary schools competition in Tanzania

His impressive 2016-17 season was cut short when he sustained a knee injury at Bugembe Stadium in a match against Sadolin Paints at the end of first round. Before the injury he was on target scoring Lweza’s winner against JMC Hippos in a 2-1 win at Wankulukuku but also assisting a 2-2 draw against URA FC in Lugazi.

Sentongo is also an alumni of Kibuli SS, a powerhouse in secondary school football and won the prestigious Copa Coca Cola NPP tournament in 2014 in Gulu alongside notable teammates like Timothy Awany, Fahad Bayo, Sande Steven and Alfred Leku.
