MASAZA CUP : Ssingo out to overturn quarter final deficit

BY GLADYS ZAWEDDE

The quarter final second legs of the Masaza Cup tournament will take center stage on Sunday 1st September with all four games on card.

Defending champions Ssingo will be aiming to overturn the first leg defeat when they host Kyadondo at Ssaza grounds Mityana.

Ssingo lost 2-1 to Kyadondo and had to complete the game with a man less after goalkeeper Arafat Otim was sent off.

Certainly, It will either be Derrick Were or Fred Ntege to fill the void left by Otim.

It will be a do-or-die tie between Bulemeezi and Kyaggwe at Kasana grounds in Luweero after both sides played to a one-all stalemate in the first leg.

Butambala host Buddu at Bulo grounds but have a daunting task at hand if they are to progress to the semi finals after losing the first leg 3-1 in Masaka.

Busiro will host Ssese at Ssentema grounds with a 2-1 advantage.

The four aggregate winners will progress to this year’s semi final.
