Maroons strengthen goalkeeping department with Dhaira signing

Eric Dhaira has returned to Big League side Maroons Football Club on a two year employment contract.

Dhaira, a young brother to former Cranes shot stopper Abel Dhaira has been plying his trade at Katwe United whom he joined on a one year employment contract at the start of last season from Maroons FC.

Dhaira has previously played for Wama FC (2013-15), Soana (now Tooro United) in 2015, BUL FC before joining Maroons and Katwe respectively.

Dhaira will compete for a starting slot with Emmanuel Akol, Amir Nalugoda and Walter Chandia who are the other custodians at the club.

He joins Nelson Mandela and Derrick Mudaali who are the other new signings at the Luzira based side.

Players Emmanuel Olinga, Solomon Walusimbi, Maxwell Okello, Sydney Chika whilst Isaac Otto, Junior Amanya, Ronald Orombi, Yahya Luti, Chika and Eddy Kapampa Ssebiccu have all extended their contracts at Maroons.

Maroons FC are under the stewardship of Charles Ayiekho whose primary target next season will be guiding the team to the Uganda Premier League.
