Allan Kabonge being unveiled at new big league entrants Lira UnitedÂ

Known for leading various clubs into the super league in the most recent times, many people in the football circles in Uganda have nicknamed him “the big league specialist”.
His name is Allan Kabonge who also led to the promotion of clubs like Aurum Roses, Onduparaka fc and most recently Masavu football club. Having had disagreements over what he called unfulfilled pledges, he is now into a new deal with big league newcomers Lira United football club.
Mark Atine Ayo the club Chief Executive Officer said,
“Lira United is proud to announce the appointment of Coach Allan Kabonge”
“We have signed him for one season and assigned him to lead us to the Azam Uganda Premier League next season.” He adds.
Swift sports has also learnt that Kabonge has been given authority at the Lira based side to find his assistants. Those that will help him perform as expected.
“We don’t want to interfere with the coach’s work. We have given him full authority to find his own assistant and the goalkeepers’ coach”
said Ayo when we asked him about the potential people to work with Kabonge to help him deliver as promised.”
Kabonge is expected to start trials for players mid next week and he has the authority to recommend all players he will deem fit to play on his squad. Lira United will play in the Fufa Big League next season after qualifying from the Northern Regional League.
