Kyeyune, Nsubuga crowned January’s best in Fortebet Real Stars Sports awards

Uganda Cranes midfielder Saidi Kyeyune and teenage golfer Godfrey Nsubuga have been named as the best Fortebet Real Stars sportsmen for the month of January, 2021.

The two were awarded at press briefing held at Route 256 Restaurant, Lugogo on Tuesday morning.

The event was graced by the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) chairman William Fredrick Blick, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Chief Executive Officer Henry Mayeku as well as sponsors’ representatives (Jude Colour Solutions and Fortebet).

Kyeyune beat Charles Bbaale (Gomba Lions) and Farouk Yawe Sebanja (Buddu) to walk away with January award in the Football category. He was represented by URA FC CEO Henry Mayeku

In golf, Nsubuga a student at Homeland College was the best in the category. He helped his school win the 2021 Entebbe Juniors Golf Open with a gross score of 73.

He battled with Rogers Eyoyo and Elton Thembo.

Kyeyune and Nsubuga were both rewarded with cash prizes and plaques.
