Lubega who lost his Mr.Kampala throne to Daniel Mwesigwa revealed this during the official launch of the championship that was held at Power horse gym in Muyenga on Monday morning.

“I am very prepared to take on everyone during this year’s championship. Covid affected me and it’s the reason, I lost my Mr.Kampala throne. This time I am more prepared and determined to win.”

Mwesigwa stunned Lubega to win the Mr Kampala 2021 crown at a ‘scientific’ event at Qibs Gym in Kyebando in May this year.

This time Mr.Uganda defending champion Isaac Mubikirwa will not be defending his time since he left the country for greener pastures.

The new champion will be confirmed on 20th November at Power horse in Muyenga.

Bodybuilders from Bantamweight, lightweight, Welterweight, Middleweight, Lightheavy and Heavyweight categories will showcase their potential.

The winners in the six categories will progress to the final to determine the champion
