Fred Amaku joins Maroons FC

Forward Fred Amaku has joined Uganda Premier League side Maroons FC on a three year employment contract

Amaku has recently been playing for Kirinja Jinja SS (now Busoga United) for the past two seasons before his contract expired. He also featured at Paidha Black Angels.

He had an impressive 2017-18 season that saw him score eight goals but injuries limited him to few appearances and three goals in the previous campaign.

Amaku is expected to bolster Douglas Bamweyana coached side’s attack ahead of the new Uganda Premier League campaign.

Amaku joins new recruits at the Luzira based outfit, left back Hamim Semakula, Patrick Bayiga, goalie Hannington Sebwalunyo, former Express captain Davis Mayanja and winger Abraham Tusubira.

Maroons will opening their UPL campaign away to URA FC at Namboole.
