The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) has recently announced a thrilling collaboration with betPawa, a prominent betting company.
This partnership is set to bring forth a remarkable sponsorship opportunity for Uganda’s national basketball teams, namely the Gazelles and Silverbacks.
Over the next three years, betPawa will generously contribute 2.6 billion shillings, offering extensive financial support for various team expenses, including training, travel, tournament accommodations, medical insurance, and supplements.
Moreover, to further motivate the players, betPawa will implement the Locker Room Bonus initiative, wherein they will receive 150,000 shillings for every victorious achievement, drawing inspiration from the successful betPawa Futsal League.
This groundbreaking development marks the first-ever official sponsorship for Uganda’s national basketball teams, arriving at a time when their impressive performances on the continental stage have captured attention and admiration.
