Karavadra appointed as new Lady Cricket Cranes head coach

The Uganda Cricket Association has named Suraj Karavadra as the new head coach of the Lady Cricket Cranes.

The development was confirmed in a press release from the Uganda Cricket Association on Thursday morning.

Karavadra expressed his delight upon the appointment

I am excited to be working with a group of talented young cricketers. My passion has been for women cricket, helping them cross boundaries, become stronger and reach new heights.”
I want the team to feel inspired cross boundaries further and as a team reach a whole new level of success.”

The Indian tactician replaces Michael Ndiko, the team has recently been under the stewardship of Davis Turinawe on interim basis.

Karavadra has previously worked with the, Indian U-16 team, United Arab Emirates men and women development teams, Leicestershire County Cricket Club as assistant women’s head coach.

The Uganda senior women national cricket team is preparing for the forthcoming T20 World Cup qualifiers due in September in Botswana and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
