MASAZA CUP: Busiro rally from a goal down to overcome 10 man Busujju

Busiro rallied from a goal down to edge Busujju 2-1 on matchday two of Bulange group at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

Busujju looked the better side in the first half mounting relentless pressure on Busiro’s end and it paid off in the 35th minutes when Shafik Kakande converted from the spot.

Hamza Kalibwamu cancelled Busujju’s lead in the 53rd minute putting the game to level off Gerald Ogweti’s cross.

Arafat Usama scored his third of the tournament and Busiro’s second of the day in the 56th minute by heading past goalkeeper Henry Kalule.

Earlier on, Brian Omirambe had restored Busujju’s lead but his effort was ruled offside.

Busujju had to complete the game with one man less after captain Micheal Ssimbwa was given matching orders by referee Anna Akoyi.

Usama and Kalibwamu lead the scoring chat for Busiro each with three goals.

Busiro maintain their top position on Bulange group with 6 points from two games.

Buvuma and Kyaggwe are to face off in a second game of the day at 3:00pm.
